If you are looking for a fully equipped and modern apartment-hotel with a kitchen I recommend that you stay at the Residence Inn by Marriott New York/Manhattan World Trade Center Area near Wall Street.
What services does the hotel offer?
What was interesting to me is that the rooms are equipped like a studio. They have different size rooms built like small apartments. In the hotels common spaces you’ll find a gym, a breakfast area, and a resting area with a small library and tables.
The breakfast is self-served; you can eat all kinds of food like pancakes, waffles, muffins, bacon, tortillas and even cereal. They have everything you need to start your day with coffee, hot chocolate and tea.
Unfortunately I was kind of disappointed by the quality of the breakfast. It didn’t really match up to the quality of the rooms, but since the rooms have their own kitchen I guess you can always make your own breakfast.
How are the rooms?
The rooms are like small apartments. My room had a kitchen by the entrance with a refrigerator, a microwave, plates and cutlery. There’s almost everything you need to make your own food, I said almost everything because they don’t have a stove!
There was a big desk and a very comfortable bed, which was great after a long day visiting the city.
The bathroom was pretty big.
How much does it cost to stay at the Residence Inn by Marriott?
Depending on the season and the time of year the smallest room can cost from $170 to $420 a night. And the biggest room, which is about 53m2, can cost from $300 to $600 a night.
Where is the Residence Inn by Marriott New York Manhattan/WTC Area?
The hotel is located near the Financial District and other main attractions like the Memorial 9/11, and the One World Observatory.
It is also perfect for shopping since Century 21 is located near the hotel as well. There are a number of metro stations that can take you almost anywhere in New York.

Conclusion.
The Residence Inn by Marriott is very well located in the Financial District and well equipped. One of the things I did not like is the fact that the area is busy. My room was in the 6th floor and I could still hear all the noise from the traffic and the events from the WTC.
I really liked the rooms and how they were built and also the location of the hotel. However, at these rates it wouldn’t be my first choice in New York.
