Enjoy the view from 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge and Harriet’s Rooftop!

Every time, you think you’ve discovered New York’s most beautiful view, but as this city is constantly being renewed, you’ll still discover breathtaking new places like the 1 Brooklyn Bridge Hotel.
And precisely in this article, I will first tell you more about this rooftop, the Harriet’s Rooftop, and then describe the hotel which is not bad either!

History of the hotel and its rooftop

1 Hotel is part of a chain created by Barry Sternlicht, also the creator of the W hotels.
His underlying philosophy is that “the world around us is beautiful, and we want to keep it that way.” He aims to implement the best possible eco-responsible design, sustainable architecture, selected partnerships, and unparalleled service.
After opening a 1 Hotel in Central Park and in South Beach (Miami), he opened the One at Brooklyn Bridge Park in February 2017.

More information about the Harriet’s Rooftop

Located on the 10th floor of 1 Brooklyn Bridge Hotel, this rooftop was called before 1 Rooftop. Even though it has changed its name, it remains number one simply because of its view of New York: you can see the entire Financial District, Brooklyn Bridge, Manhattan Bridge, Brooklyn Bridge Park and all the rest of Manhattan’s skyline.
Look at the view:

When you get by the railing, here is what you can see:

And here is the view of Brooklyn Bridge Park, the 2 bridges and at the far left the Empire State Building.

In short, I don’t think I need to write much, the pictures speak for themselves, it’s indubitably one of the best rooftops in New York!!!!

On this 325 m2 rooftop, there’s a bar where they serve beer, wine and above all a whole list of homemade cocktails. And yes, for the past few years, each bar has had its own list of cocktails created by the bartender. So here at Harriet’s Rooftop, they respect the tradition. 🙂

There are also tables and chairs to sit on as it is also possible to eat small dishes such as lobster rolls, chips, chips and guacamole…

Only the hotel guests can enjoy the swimming pool with a view!

The rates are those of other New York rooftops, i.e. $16 for a cocktail, $8 for a beer, $25 for a menu with a lobster roll… (see the menu).
However, the view has a cost, if you’re not a hotel guest, you’ll pay a $20 entry fee.

Can you imagine yourself there, having a drink, eating… or at least taking pictures?

The 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge

The Hotel has 194 rooms, including 29 suites (for 2 to 6 people) and even a presidential suite called The Riverhouse.
Most of the rooms offer a panoramic view of the East River, but also the Brooklyn Bridge and the New York Skyline.
Just as I haven’t been able to test this hotel yet, Benjamin, on the other hand, has tested it with his wife and son and shares with us his experience. I think he loved it:

All new, all beautiful. Recently built, this hotel has a very modern architecture, and right at Brooklyn Bridge Park.

As soon as we get in the hotel, we smelled wooded candles, with a feeling of absolute Zen atmosphere throughout the hotel.

Such an addictive smell that we asked where it came from and were told that we could buy a candle with at the bar.

Then, the bedrooms are the incredibly modern, Zen and natural rooms with an Italian shower, a filtered water tap and always that smell. The bathrobes are very comfortable!

Inside each room, there’s a tablet with your name on it. If you want ice, you send an email, and four minutes later, they bring it to you!

Needless to say, the view is more than incredible. Lying on an ultra-comfortable bed, I could see the Brooklyn Bridge on the right, the Statue of Liberty on the left and just in front of us, a view of the Financial District to the ESB.

When we left the room, the elevators took us to the ground floor and in the morning there are huge fruit baskets with at least 3 different varieties of fruit totally free and at will.

I also recommend the lounge with a bar where you can drink cocktails sitting on very comfortable sofas where you can read books on nature.

The buffet restaurant makes excellent $2 cookies.

The icing on the cake is to be driven in a luxury TESLA about 6 miles from the hotel!!!

We haven’t paid too much via Booking but chances are that the rates will increase very soon.
