Discover the Adidas store on 5th Avenue

Adidas opened up a new store on December 2016 in New York, a store that proudly wears the Adidas brand with pride. Before there was only one Adidas store located on Broadway, NoHo, but this new store is bigger compared to the older one. I was able to go there myself on my last visit in New York.

Why is Adidas located on 5th ave?

They decided to locate themselves there simply to compete with Nike, after many years they want to create the go to place that represents the brand that gives it a new image.
It allows them to improve their notoriety and offer a completely new experience for its customers. Since the store on Broadway had very limited space, the new location allows them to have more inventories of products.

How is the style and atmosphere like in the Adidas store?

Like I mentioned before, I’m sure one of the objectives from the new store is to offer a new experience for customers.

Clearly, you will see what I mean as you walk through there that you are not in a average store.

The decorations are 100% impressive, it has gates and fences with benches like if you were in an outside park in New York. It’s a urban theme, mixed with industrial and street. The store installed TV sets through out the 2nd and 3rd floor where they stream games so the customer can watch from the benches.

You can tell they really tried to give it a street feel in one of the pillars.

The check out lines look like a box office from a stadium.

What kind of merchandise is sold at this Adidas Store?

Here you will find almost everything the brand has to offer, “Original”, “Porsche Design”, “Athletics”, and every sport product obviously.

They have great deals on their sneaker shoes, nice!

One of the original things about this store is the designated area where you can customize your own shoe using the “Create my Adidas” app. You can choose a model, the material, color, the sole, and even add your name!

The only thing about that is that an order can take up to 3 weeks to get to you. And I know a lot of people are only there on vacation and are not going to stay for that long. However you can still order them online and have them shipped to you.

What is the best plan for this store?

Simply visit and experience the sport atmosphere it has, compared to the other fancier luxury stores on 5th ave.

Where is the Adidas store located?

It’s located in Midtown 565 fifth ave, right in the corner of 46th st. and 5th ave. It is opened from 9am to 22pm everyday!
I will also include in the map the other Adidas store at 610 Broadway.

Conclusion

Like I mentioned before this Adidas store is truly an original experience. Even if you don’t plan on shopping I still recommend for anyone to go and see it for him or herself.
