During a trip, each of us have preferences. Some of us like to go on an “adventure” with a backpack on, others want to take it easy and ask for “comfort” and “piece of mind”.
My strongest advice is to plan when you’re going to New York City! You’ll get the best rates for your flight and hotel. You’ll have time to compare the different activities and choose the ones you want to do… There are a lot of tours, passes, and activities to do in NYC. In this post, I help you find the activities that better suits you. You can book them online before your departure and enjoy the city without any stress!
Why should you book your activities in advance?
Instead of paying for these activities in Dollars, for some of you you’ll be paying in Euros. I’m not teaching you anything, but it’s always easier to monitor your budget without complex calculations to figure out at the last minute to know how much things cost in Euros. Then you won’t need to bring too much cash in order to avoid once again exchange fees.
Besides, if you don’t want to blow up your budget during your trip in NY, plan your trip ahead (download my one-week itineraries) to know what to do in NY and book in advance. It’s always better to pay your activities before you go and know what you are up to financially.
Regardless of where you’re coming from, a practical element when booking in advance: just show up with your voucher at the main entrance of your visit/attraction/museum/landmark then handout your voucher without waiting in lines, a huge plus especially during high season when lines tend to be very long. 🙂
What to do in New York City?
There are many tours of the city available in Manhattan and outside. Whether it’s from Downtown or Harlem, day or night, on a bus or on a boat around Manhattan. It depends on the attraction. For bus tours for example, you have to go to one of the visitors centers (printed on the voucher). They are around Times Square.
For Helicopter tours, you give your voucher directly to the person in charge of the helicopter company, you don’t have to go anywhere else.
What kind of tours do you want to do?
My wife and I are visiting New York over the Christmas period, for my wife’s birthday which is on Christmas Day. We would like a price on the hop on hop off bus with the rock, Empire State Building, Hudson cruise, and a cost on a helicopter trip with the trip too the Statue of Liberty please. I want my wife to have the most enjoyable birthday ever.
