History of the Brooklyn Bridge Park

Right next to the Brooklyn Bridge, is the park that extends along the East River.

It is about 34 hectares and is divided into 11 sections: Piers 1-6, Fulton Ferry Landing, Brooklyn Bridge Plaza, Empire Fulton Ferry and John Main Street. Brooklyn Heights Promenade is part of Brooklyn Bridge Park.

It was created in 1642 and completely renovated in 2008.

Today the park has playgrounds for kids, carousel, restaurants, ice cream vendors, picnic areas, barbecues…

You can even enjoy a canoe ride!

It is also an ideal place to take a break from the city. The view of the Downtown Manhattan area is amazing. It is perfect for amateur and professional photographers both day and night.
