What is Sarabeth’s?
The story behind Sarabeth’s is typical of the American dream!! Sarabeth Levine began her little adventure by selling homemade jams at local grocery stores. She was so successful along with her husband she was able to open up her own bakery, which then later turned into a restaurant. Today there are numbers of Sarabeth’s through out New York and the United States and even Tokyo.
What is the mood of Sarabeth’s?
I myself have tried the restaurant located on the Upper East Side and I have to say that Sunday morning. There was families, business people, retired couple and many tourists. Despite the fact it can be unfriendly at first, the environment there is very relaxing.
What can you eat and drink with Sarabeth’s?
Their specialty is brunch but it is possible to go at noon for a traditional meal, or in the afternoon for tea or in the evening for dinner!
Personally, I went there on a Sunday morning for brunch. They have a great menu with a variety of omelets, another house specialty.
On that day I ordered the “Big Breakfast” and believe me, when I saw the plate, I wondered how I was going to finish it !!
It was a giant plate with a tasty omelet, sausage, potatoes, slices of crispy bacon and hyper famous pancakes that are the hallmark of the house !!!
What are the prices?
My “Big Breakfast” was $ 20. Certainly, it seems a bit pricey, but the quality and quantity was worth the money!! The amount of food could easily make it for 2 people !! I had to do a lot of walking to eliminate all that food. 😉
I wouldn’t recommend the coffee there for the price that it costs it wasn’t as good as I expected it to be. But there is also cocktails you can order the famous Mimosa for $ 14.
The coordinates Sarabeth’s
There are 5 different locations in Manhattan
Open every day from 8 am to 22:30 until 22h on Sunday. Weekend brunch is from 8 am to 16h.
Conclusion
If you want to have a nice brunch with quality products do not hesitate to stop by Sarabeth’s !!
Pancakes alone were worth a visit !! Because of their texture and flavor, they will leave a lasting impression !!
Given the price of the plate, do not plan anything for lunch !!
