Burger Joint, a hidden fast food in New York

The Burger Joint is a fast food hidden in the Thompson Central Park Hyatt in New York.
There is nothing indicating it either from the outside or when you enter the lobby. Indeed, the restaurant is behind a red curtain on the side of the reception desk.

How is the decor in the Burger Joint?

The fast food store seems to be a little bit “bazaar”, the lighting is dimmed, there’s a lot of wooden furniture. The walls are decorated with many paintings, photos … and any free space has notes or signatures from customers.

The decor is the complete opposite of the Thompson Central Park, a modern hotel without many frills.

There are many messages and signatures on the walls and lamps as you can see in the photos below.

What happens is that since its opening in 2002, hundreds of people began to write messages to leave their mark in the restaurant.

What can you eat?

As you can imagine, you will go to Burger Joint to eat hamburgers with french fries: D

The burger is pretty tasty. The interesting thing is that you can select the ingredients.

You can choose from lettuce, tomato, onion, mustard, ketchup, mayonnaise, cheese…

All accompanied with french fries 🙂

How should you order your burger?

I will explain how to order because it’s a little different from other places.

Before entering the restaurant, you have to fill out a piece of paper to indicate how you want your burger: there you write down the ingredients, if you want french fries, drinks, desserts…

So while you are waiting in line, prepare your order 😉

How to access the Burger Joint?

You have to enter the hotel and go through a small corridor between reception desk and a curtain.

Conclusion

The Burger Joint is a good place to eat a burger in New York. However, I do prefer Shake Shack burgers and especially Bareburger.
