Just 2 steps away from the pretty Orchard Street, it is an old school candy store.
Actually, I’m sure you can even pass by without noticing the location.
And that will be a real shame!

What’s the history behind the store?
Economy Candy opened its doors in 1937 in a Jewish/Italian neighborhood on the lower East Side.
3 generations and 76 years later, this candy store continues to supply New Yorker with sweets and dentists with patients 🙂
What to find at Economy Candy ?
This store is no bigger than 646 ft2 (60 m2) and offers hundreds of different kinds of candies including old fashioned and hard to find but also new candies!!!
You will see that from top to bottom, candies are everywhere. You don’t know where to look when you enter the store for the first time.
You’ll find all sorts of M&M’s, gumdrops, giant lollipops and even PEZ candies just like we had when we were kids. If you pay attention on the picture bellow with Giant PEZ!!! 🙂
