On the morning of the anniversary, a private commemoration ceremony for 9/11 families will be held on the Memorial. The 9/11 Memorial Museum will be closed to the public throughout the day. Beginning at 6:00 p.m., the 9/11 Memorial plaza will be open to the public for a special viewing of Tribute in Light from a meaningful vantage point. It will illuminate the New York City sky just south of the Memorial site. The Memorial will remain open until midnight for the anniversary.
