The hotel, Hilton Garden Inn Times Square Central (NYCTT by Laurent)

Laurent has stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn Times Square Central conveniently located in Manhattan and wanted us to look back on her experience.

So I will let her present her experience and perhaps make us want to stay there too. 🙂

Where is the Hilton Garden Inn Times Square Central?

This hotel is located in Manhattan on 42nd street and between 6th Avenue and Broadway, that is to say in the heart of New York’s agitation par excellence: Times Square.

To give you an idea, the hotel is less than 1300ft from the TKTS steps,  500ft from Bryant Park, Madison Square Garden half a mile and less then half a mile from Grand Central … So you understand that this is an exceptional location where restaurants and shops abound.

The hotel is also just a few feet from the metro station “Times Sq-42 St” where the lines “NQRS-1-2-3-7” are based.

What benefits does the Hilton Garden Inn Times Square Central have?

The hotel provides a free wireless connection, a fitness room and not least, free concierge service to take your luggage the day of departure.

At the lobby, there is a restaurant (pizzeria type) where you can dine in the evening or have breakfast (personally our offer did not include breakfast). At this level, the Hilton has installed 2 computers with a free access printer and even an ATM.

You should know that the hotel was fully renovated (deco design and refined) and reopened in September 2014.

How are the rooms?

Each room (282 in total) is equipped with a flat screen (50 ‘), a mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker, clock radio and hairdryer, ie a well fully equipped room.

Heating (for us was the period February-March) is effective.

We had a room for 4 of us, with 2 queen beds with excellent comfort. The closet space was sufficient (wardrobe, chest of drawers).

We were on the 30th floor (of 36) with a diagonal view of the Walgreens Times Square.

What are the rates at the Hilton Garden Inn Times Square Central?

So compared to the prices, do not forget the special location of this hotel, which can justify prices ranging from 140 to $ 250 / night depending on the time and for a 2 bedroom with a double bed

But it could seem really pricey at the time of booking! That said, sometimes there are accommodation coupon sites according to the number of selected nights.

Conclusion

I think the Hilton Garden Inn Times Square Central is a real good plan with an unbeatable location, rooms with complete service and excellent bedding, obviously with above average prices, but justified by the very recent renovation of the hotel.

I find that for a first trip to New York and the proximity to Times Square, the Hilton is a good compromise.
