Where is the Hyatt House Chelsea?
It is a recent hotel located between the 28th St and 6th Ave., also known as Avenue of the Americas in the Chelsea neighborhood.
You’ll be near 2 subway stations (less than 200m) and the Empire State Building (less than 700m).
There is a lof ot restaurants, small super markets, fast food, etc… in this neighborhood.
What services does the Hyatt House Chelsea offer?
It offers free Wi-Fi connection, gym, luggage service, a small supermarket and a laundry room.
Two computers with a printer are also at your disposal at the side of the restaurant. And the restaurant is open at noon and in the evening.
Breakfast is included in the price of the room, offering a variety of options such as tea, coffee, milk, fruit juices, pancakes, eggs, etc …
The hotel also has umbrellas available to customers for rainy days.
The best thing is that it has two terraces with an incredible view towards the ESB. It could sound like a plan for photography amateurs and professionals.
And what about the rooms?
I booked a family room. I was pleased to see it was very clean.
The room is really spacious (we were 2 adults and an 11 year old child). I don’t have to complain about the noise from other rooms or the hallway. The decoration is nice, and the 2 queen-size beds let us sleep like babies!
There is a small kitchen with everything you need, a table and a dishwasher.
The closet was large, with a safe and an ironing board and a television.
The bathroom is spacious, with enough space to store your toiletries and a hair dryer.
My experience with the hotel staff
Perfect! They were always smiling, discreet and with excellent customer service.
How much did I pay?
We traveled in October, and for 5 nights we paid $1450 including taxes.
The price may seem a little high, but the location and breakfast included at this price is not so bad.

It is a very well-located hotel in New York, with nice decoration and friendly staff.
I won’t hesitate to book again at the Hyatt House Chelsea for my next trip to New York City!
