How is the local Hostel?

Local Hostel is like a big loft, especially the lobby. The decoration is very modern and minimalist.

The entrance has pretty colors, unlike the rooms, they’re much simpler compared to the main lobby.

The lodge has 2 floors, shared rooms or bedrooms for 1 or 2 people.

How are the rooms in the Local Hostel?

The room in which I stayed had 3 bunk beds and a bathroom.

Upon entering the room is the bathroom, with a shower and toilets, and a sink in the middle.

There is a locker for each person to save their belongings.

The decoration is simple but nice.

The only negative point is that the bed is a bit hard. Also, if the person sleeping at the top moves a lot at night, you can feel all the vibrations. But hey, if you get too tired from walking around New York all day, you will be able to sleep, no problem 😀

What are the services of the hostel?

Local Hostel offers several convenient services for a stay in New York.

You will find a kitchen, and a laundry room with several machines.

There is a fairly large space to read.

It is a quiet room where you will find 3 PCs with internet. There is also WiFi access in this room located right next to reception.

For a little entertainment, there is a room with a big screen, I guess to watch some movies on certain days of the week. There’s a bar and a cafe.

What type of clients does the hostel have?

Most clients were between 18 and 30 years old. It is an average age for this type of accommodation. Many seemed to be alone, but I also seen some groups of friends and even a football team.

How is the service?

Actually there is nothing bad to say. The hostel staff is very nice and friendly.

They give people good tips on New York like indicating when the museums are free in New York.

They give information about parties and special nights in NYC.

Why should I book there?

A good plan is that this hostel is ideally located, about a 5-minute walk from a metro station with several lines and its 10-15 minutes from Times Square.
The hostel is near Vernon Boulevard, a street in full swing with many bars and restaurants like Casa Enrique.

Another advantage is that this hostel is quieter than most hostels where I have been on other trips.

How much does it cost to stay at the Local Hostel?

It depends on bedroom and season.

There are mixed rooms you can share with other people or you can have your own room. It has an average of $ 60 per night.
