The Ramada Long Island City (NYCTT by Mika )

Where is the Ramada hotel located in New York?

This hotel is not located in Manhattan but in Queens, in the neighborhood of Long Island City (LIC).

It is located about 5-6 minutes from the Queensboro Plaza station and is one stop away from the Manhattan station !! It should take about about 20 minutes from Times Square to the door of your hotel!!

This area is under development with many new bars and restaurants !!

One of the strong points of this hotel is its view of Manhattan including the Queensborough Bridge and the Empire State Building !!

During the day, the view’s not bad either!

How much does it cost to stay at the Ramada?

The other great thing about this hotel are the rates!!!
Depending on the period, they range from $ 99 to $ 159 for a double room with a king-size bed.
Did I mention that breakfast is included ??
So, there is nothing much else to say except that it is well located and for a great price.

What services does the Ramada have?

It includes a fitness room in the basement with lots of equipment.

Then there is free wifi (the code given to you at the reception).

At the reception, there is free access to a computer with ability to print documents for $ 1 per page. That’s what they say but, I have used it before and have not paid anything;)

It is also possible to leave your luggage at the front desk on your day of departure and is free like most hotels.

Finally, as I mentioned earlier, the breakfast is included in the price !! Fruit juices, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, sausages, donuts, cereals, choice of hot drinks, etc … There is even a waffle maker to make your own waffles !!

How are the rooms?

The rooms are really nice, spacious, clean, with plenty of storage !!

There is a desk, coffee maker, fridge, a large closet and dresser.

The bed is huge !!

But still one of the best things about this room remains the view !!

I was on the 6th floor (the hotel has 9 stories) and it was amazing to wake up and go to bed with this view!

Not all of the rooms are in the same boat. Rooms overlook two sides of the facility and only those on the side I stayed on offer such views !! You can always ask for a room with a view in your comments while booking.

Conclusion

Finally, I will say that this hotel is a good plan with a great price / location / service which is difficult to find in New York today … While it is not located in Manhattan, but with the proximity of the Metro it is actually faster to get to Time Square than from the Upper West Side;)

In addition, the services offered, free wifi, breakfast included in the price, possibility to leave your luggage, computer access and the ability to print documents, etc … make this a great place to stay!!!
