This short film is a personal favorite.

Created by the Patrick Jean, “Pixels” pictures the invasion of New York by pixels other than old video games created in the 1980-1990’s including: Space Invaders, Tetris, Donkey Kong, Pac Man and more.

He turns the city upside down with amazing special effects. A must see!!!

Super speed visit of New York:

My second favorite is a time-lapse video which allows you to visit the city in 3 minutes. This montage created by Josh Owens (Mindrelic) is incredible. Between time-lapse and traveling, it’s a real treat to watch. For amateurs, here are the characteristics of his camera: Canon 5dm2 – 14 mm 2,8L, 24 mm 1.4L, 50mm 1.2L, 70-200 2.8L

A cyclist race across New York:

In this video, you’ll race across New York on a bike. A really cool video especially when he crosses Times Square.

2010 New York marathon Time-lapse:

The 2010 New York City Marathon gathered more than 45 000 runners from all around the world and was filmed here by the radio station WNYC at 6″15 of the race.

A flight over New York aboard a small plane:

Equipped with a small camera, the plane flies over New York, close to the Statue of Liberty, the whole thing filmed in FPV. Of course, it’s a small remote controlled plane and not an Airbus A380, but still, it’s a really great idea especially since it manages to fly over Manhattan.
