Where to eat in New York for Christmas and New Year’s Eve?

Are you lucky enough to spend Christmas and New Year’s Eve in New York City? But your big question now is where to eat. So, here’s a short list of nice restaurants to enjoy a good meal so you can celebrate these days as they should be, with your family and friends.


Located in the historic market building on Essex Street, Essex is a loft-style restaurant with dining rooms over several floors.
It offers a special menu on December 31st. The four-course menu costs $95. Crab ravioli, filet mignon with potatoes, risotto, and chocolate tart is on the menu, among others.
-A DJ will be in charge of the entertainment on the evening of December 31st.

Del Frisco’s

Del Frisco’s is a classic in New York! It is located two steps from Rockefeller Center. The meat served is a delight, and all the ingredients are of very good quality.
On the menu: Lobsters, creamed spinach, mushroom stir-fry, rib of beef, Cheesecake, etc…
On December 24th, the restaurant will be open from 3 pm to 8 pm only.

ABC Kitchen

ABC Kitchen offers local and organic products. The uniqueness of this restaurant is that it is located in a decoration shop! The atmosphere is relaxed, and the cuisine is simple but excellent.
The price of the Christmas menu is $199 per person, à la carte for early dinner, and $248 for the New Year’s Eve Gala.

Perrine will welcome your family on Christmas Eve from 4.30 pm to 9.30 pm and on Christmas Day from 11.30 am to 9.30 pm.
The party will be there on New Year’s Eve from 5.00 pm to 1.00 am, and if you had a rough night, come back on New Year’s Day for a “Hangover Brunch” from 11.30 am to 4.00 pm!
This restaurant is located inside the Pierre Hotel in front of Central Park. The special holiday menu is from $125 to $325.

Rolf’s Bar & Restaurant

Rolf’s Bar is well-known thanks to its kitschy decoration! The decoration will be there until May 2020! Yes, they are one of those who want to feel the Christmas atmosphere all year long!
The restaurant is lined with Christmas decorations from floor to ceiling! A guaranteed holiday atmosphere in this small German French restaurant! Reserve a table in advance because there are many people trying to get in. I tried in vain in December 2018…

If you are looking for a restaurant overlooking Times Square for New Year’s Eve, you can read this article.
There are a lot of restaurants and fast-food venues in this area, but Balldrop seems to be your best option to book your night and be as close as possible to the famous Ball Drop in Times Square.
