Where to eat in New York for Christmas and New Year’s Eve?

Are you lucky enough to spend Christmas and New Year’s Eve in New York City? But your big question now is where to eat? So, here’s a short list of nice restaurants to enjoy a good meal so you can celebrate these days as it should be, with your family and friends.


Located in the historic market building on Essex Street, Essex is a loft-style restaurant with dining rooms over several floors.
It offers a special menu on December 31. The four-course menu costs $150, with open bar until 3am. On the menu, oysters, lobster rvioli, filet mignon with potatoes, homemade gnocchi, and passion fruit flan, among others.
-A DJ will be in charge of the entertainment on the evening of December 31st.
-A special brunch is served on December 25th and January 1st.

Del Frisco’s

Del Frisco’s is a classic in New York! It is located 2 steps from Rockefeller Center. The meat served is a delight, and all the ingredients are of very good quality.
On the menu: Lobsters, creamed spinach, mushroom stir-fry, rib of beef, Cheesecake etc….
On December 24th, the restaurant will be open from 3pm to 8pm only.

OCabanon also offers special menus for Christmas and New Year’s Eve on December 31st. This is a lovely French restaurant where the food is delicious and the owner, Armel, is a friend of ours!
The Christmas menu is $69 and the New Year’s menu is $79.

ABC Kitchen

ABC Kitchen offers local and organic products. The uniqueness of this restaurant is that it is located in a decoration shop! The atmosphere is relaxed, the cuisine is simple but excellent.
The price of the Christmas menu is $108 per person and $168 for New Year’s Eve.

Perrine will welcome your family on Christmas Eve from 4.30pm to 9.30pm and on Christmas Day from 11.30 am to 9.30 pm.
The party will be there on New Year’s Eve, and if you had a rough night, come back on New Year’s Day for a “Hangover Brunch” from 11.30 am to 4.30pm!
This restaurant is located inside the Pierre Hotel in front of Central Park. The special holiday menu is $95 for adults and $50 for children.

Founded in 1986, Chez Joséphine pays tribute to the legendary Josephine Baker.
Special menus are served on holidays, including the traditional Christmas Bûche!

Rolf’s Bar & Restaurant

Rolf’s Bar is well-known thanks to its kitschy decoration! The decoration will be there until May 2020! Yes, they are one of those who want to feel the Christmas atmosphere all year long!
The restaurant is lined with Christmas decorations from floor to ceiling! A guaranteed holiday atmosphere in this small German French restaurant! Reserve a table in advance, because there are a lot of people trying to get in. I tried in vain in December 2018…
