How does Primp & Polish look like?
They have 4 beauty salons in Brooklyn. I didn’t have the chance to visit all of them, but the one in Williamsburg in Bedford Ave. Every photo in this article are from this salon, I guess the other ones, have the same style.
After a really nice entry with a big white bar, there is a long aisle with 7 comfy seats to get a manicure.
The decor is really simple but well designed.
The interesting thing about this place is to go all the way back where the environment totally changes. This particular thing is only available at the salon in Bedford Ave.
They decorated the place with Asian culture objects, with some plants, bamboo, a white/red scooter…
What are the services Primp & Polish offers?
There are 4 main services:
Classic Manicure: they take care of your cuticle and nails. They also apply a sugar exfoliator, after that they let your hands rest in a hot towel and give you a massage. They will apply the nail polish you prefer.
Spa Manicure: this service offers exactly the same as classic manicure, but first they apply a Raw Earth™ hot exfoliator, and cover your hands and forearms in a hot towel, then give you a hand massage for at least 5 minutes.
Classic pedicure: This one is like the classic manicure, with a cuticle and nails care. They clean your feet with a fresh lemon, polish and refine, then rinse your feet with a salted exfoliator scrub to your legs. The massage is with hot rocks and an olive oil lotion. For those who want nail polish you have the option too.
Pedicure Spa: Same as classic pedicure, but first they apply a Raw Earth™ hot exfoliation, and the massage lasts longer.

Which service did we ask for?
Céline and Adèle tried different services.
Both of them had the pedicure and manicure spa with varnish.
They loved to share this “girls moment” together… The picture speaks for itself.
Alex from BPVNY (French site) had his “Me time” too and he asked for the spa pedicure, but he didn’t had the varnish.
He enjoyed that pleasant moment which lasts about 35 minutes. It’s perfect to take care of your feet between 2 stops when visiting NYC.
You can have a nice moment with your wife or girlfriend taking care of your feet. Besides, it is better to share this moment than waiting for her.

Yes, totally recommended. It will allow you to anticipate your “me time” and keep your visits in NYC well scheduled.
