Since October 2020, New York City finally has its MLB Store! So yes, you may have seen the Yankees Store during your previous visits. But just like the NHL Store not far from there, you will find here all the teams playing in the US!
How is the store?
It is a very modern and welcoming store located on a street corner and a vast square in front of the entrance. It is on two floors, one at street level and the other in the basement.
You will find all the MLB teams with mannequins arranged on the window, dressed in the complete player’s gear.
The architecture is modern, but the presentation remains rather classic, with racks and displays for clothing.
On the other hand, in the right corner of the store, there is a kind of revolving rack (like in dry cleaners) where they hang all the baseball teams of the United States jerseys. So we see the jerseys passing under our eyes toward the store’s basement.
Plus, for those who would not have found a hat at Lids, a whole section of the MLB Store is dedicated to caps!
What to find in the basement of the store?
It is my favorite part of the store! Why? Because you can buy many goodies from the teams. I think it’s ideal for souvenirs and it’s also cheaper than buying a jersey.
There is also a photo booth, again for some souvenirs of your visit.
I keep the best for the end. There is especially a part that looks a little like a museum, with pieces of collectors. So the prices are high, but you can buy signed paintings, balls, baseball bats, and bases. You can also find objects that belonged to the players. I found this little corner excellent, and it will delight the fans!
What do I like about the MLB Store?
I think having a store specialized for MLB is great. It allows you to buy souvenirs or to equip yourself before going to a game. The store does not seem to be as big as the NBA Store (5th Avenue), but you can find everything.
On the other hand, the salesmen are lovely! One of them was squinting at my cookies from Levain Bakery. That was enough to start a little conversation about NYC!
Where is the store?
It is ideally located right in front of the Radio City Music Hall! So, it’s going to be a must-do when visiting Midtown. Why not after going to the Top of the Rock!

Conclusion
I can only advise MBL fans to go to this store. Don’t put the wallet at the bottom of your backpack or purse. Come on; you only have one life. Treat yourself! 😀
