What kind of food does Gaonnuri restaurant offer?
Gaonnuri is a Korean restaurant. You will not be surprised to see a grill in the middle of the tables to prepare a Korean BBQ. As a matter of fact, grill meat is one of the specialties of the house.
Here you can eat delicious Korean food, that is Kobe meat cuts, fish, salads, Korean specialties such as Kimchi (preparation with cabbage, carrots, radishes …) with peppers and garlic.
We shared the Combo 1, with 3 meats. The waiter puts the meat in front of you at the BBQ table.
As for dessert, we ordered a “Snickers Bar”. It is not very typical of Korean food, but I must say that we were very surprised by the preparation of the chef. It has been one of my best desserts in New York.
What is the best of Gaonnuri?
The best you can do is to book a table for dinner.
The restaurant is on the 39th floor, and thanks to its dim light, the discreet staff… all the conditions are met for you to enjoy the breathtaking view over the skyscrapers and the Empire State Building.
Don’t forget to ask for a table by the windows.
How much does it cost to eat at Gaonnuri?
The incredible view, the quality of the products and the service have a price… So, I must be honest and tell you that the prices are quite high. For the Combo of meats and desserts, we paid $120 for 2 people. It’s not the cheapest restaurant of NY. On the other hand, the atmosphere and food are really exceptional.
The wines also have a high price, but nothing out of the ordinary for New York City.

If you have an event to celebrate or just want a romantic dinner in New York, Gaonnuri is the perfect place. The panoramic view amazing, and the food is delicious.
